With over 30 years of hands-on experience, Mr. Mian has worked closely with family-owned enterprises across various industries—guiding them through transitions, leadership alignment, and long-term planning.
Mr. Mian is the Former President & CEO of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), where he played a pivotal role in shaping the governance landscape of the country. During his tenure, he also served as Vice President, Council Member, and held leadership roles in numerous committees including Education, Fiscal Laws, and Professional Accountants in Business. His contributions have been instrumental in advancing governance standards and professional excellence in Pakistan.
Since formally establishing his consulting practice in 2014, Mr. Mian has helped multigenerational family businesses build governance frameworks that align with their unique values, culture, and long-term vision. His neutral, empathetic, and structured approach fosters unity within families, encourages sound decision-making, and supports continuity across generations.
In addition to his advisory work, Mr. Mian has served on the boards of listed and public sector companies, and is widely recognized as a speaker and trainer in governance. He has personally trained over 500 directors of listed companies, making him a trusted voice in both corporate and family business circles.
